I Ask In English, Google Answers Me In Dutch

I'm not quite sure why Google is returning me a Dutch answer in my SERPS when I'm located in the U.S. When I click on the "Web Definition Link", the Dutch "definition" is all that's returned.

They are enhancing your user experience. Resistance is useless!
Same here
I get the same result (for that specific search) here in NY. Might just be a bug (obviously) with that term - not sure why though.
no answers in english

re: no answers in english
Time to start creating some...
What's the problem?
Google clearly says:
---
No definitions of executive search were found in English
Definitions of executive search on the Web in Dutch:
---
IOW, it could only find a Dutch amswer to the query.
Mind you, I happen to be Dutch. ;)

have you changed your settings or has someone done it for you?
Seems to be a bug
This wasn't unusual for me, as default Google searches do not define a specific language unless using lr=lang_en (it's simply weighted to your language if English data is available). Although even when using this variable, the Dutch definition still appears, which surely is a bug? Maybe Google just wants us all to learn a little Dutch?
Double Dutch
... shouldn't that be New Amsterdam?
I guess graywolf got it...
...but other than that, if you pose particularly intelligent questions, Google automatically assumes you are Dutch and answers them accordingly.
:-? LOL
Because you are one?
Is that because you are one? ;)
Google definitions
looks like Google frames your 'what is' query in as a:
'define:executive search' query.
if it's any consolation, i tried "define:blogging" and the high authority site listed is: http://codex.xwd.jp/index.php/Glossary
a Japanese language site.
you might have better luck with Wikipedia.
