EU : Video Bloggers fall under broadcast rules

This is Bollocks to the N'th level. The EU want's video bloggers to fall under broadcast rules (IE: Licenses, etc etc).
This could directly affect Google Video, YouTube as well as other video content sites. Because now you are not a 'Blogger' according to the EU, you are a TV station.

US faces the same fight.
A similar situation is brewing with political bloggers and campaign finance law in the United States. We are starting to see the beginning battles in the war over who controls the internet and gambling was only the first casualty.

You know it's coming... 60 years of investment in controlling TV will not be tossed out in the trash.
Plus, the covetousness of Big Brother politicos
running amuck ever since that bogus "war on terrorism" was launched is sure to aggravate the issue across the board. Internet censorship in Singapore, China, Iran, Germany, North Korea etc. was just the beginning - it's only now that they're seriously starting to lick their chaps and preparing one push-through after the next.
E.g. in Germany they're currently demanding that ISPs' client data, which has to be stored for six months to enable law enforcement agencies to - you guessed it - "combat terrorism", should also be routinely made accessible for investigation of copyright infringements, illegal music and movie downloads, etc. Not in legislation status yet but I sure wouldn't bet the farm on it not happening ...
