Thread Title:
Tsunami of Spam
Thread Description:
I didn't think that people could sink any lower, not after Dougie and glengara's mutual wank fest over the current challenges faced by WebAtlas, I was wrong.
It seems that already spam emails are being sent asking people to make "donations", as Mr Mackin would say sick and wrong.
"So far, we've seen two different examples of these, designed to capitalise on the misery of hundreds of thousands of people affected by the tsunami that swept the coasts of the Indian Ocean early this week."

- Y! MyWeb

Worms

The very worst expression of human nature. They should be hunted down and shot. The spammers shouldn't be treated any better either.

Shame on the lot of them - poor show.

That's horrible :(

That's horrible :(

Have you seen the ones with abducted children?

I think those are the ones that anger me the most. It is an email with a picture and a 'please forward this to all your friends' and then procededs to say the people who sent the email in the first place cannot say where they live.

I actually check on those with the missing children agencies, and all, so far have been false.

It really makes me sick.

This is really sick

Can`t believe it Nick, someone can do these kind of things.
I just lost one of my classmates who lived in Madras, a seashore city in India. I know how terrible it feels. This is one of the worst disasters. Bodies still lay scattered in many parts of the affected areas.

With eforts also getting disturbed due to fresh floods. Just can`t believe people are using even this for their money making schemes. How low can someone get.

It gets worse

LONDON (Reuters) - Police say they have arrested a man after a hoaxer posing as a government official emailed relatives of people missing since the Asian tsunami, saying their loved ones had been confirmed dead.

Guilty

He just pleaded guilty Brad - how weird is that guy? He's a father of 2 aswell, what kind of dad would do that...

Sick and stupid

As that article says

Quote:
All the emails were sent from the same address, ukgovfoffice@aol.com. So Pierson, a father of two, would have been very easy to track down. He was arrested yesterday ...

maximum sentence

Sending letters etc. with intent to cause distress or anxiety carries a maximum sentence in a magistrates court of £2500 fine
The stupid guy lives in a small UK village called Ruskington, hopefully his life will be in ruins after this despicable act of stupidity
