Brazilian judge rules Google must give up Orkut user data for open law enforcement cases or pay $23k per case per day. Google says the law suit is "absurd", the data is on US soil, and US laws prohibit them from releasing the data.
With 65% of Orkut's membership in Brazil, maybe Orkut is about to become one of the fastest shrinking social networking apps on the planet? Reuters
