Google hosts Trojans!

According to cio.com Google's web page hosting service, Google Pages, is being used to host malicious Trojan horse software.

To be fair to the boys n gals at the 'plex this is a problem any free hosting service is going to encounter. If you allow uploads of files, and those files are publically accessable then you run the risk of them being used for nefarious means but surely a company with the brains, brawn and $ of G can virii check all files 1st?

Yeah .. I think It's hard to make a site-wide server plugin with Norton, as Yahoo did.

Small Things Add Up

Whilst this will not make the front pages of the national press I think things like this can build over time.

Google has a very strong and trusted name, in fact apart from SEOs etc nobody really calls them.

As they expand danger looms for this position. I particularly thought this with Gbuy. Just wait till the Paypal type scams start.
Bad publicity is not something they, or indeed their shareholders are used to!

PS: Nice work on Strikepoint Jason
