Best Conference Gear?

I've got so many crappy T-shirts from conferences that I could do my best Aaron Wall dress-alike for three weeks and never do laundry once.

Yet throught the years I've picked up some decent stuff at conferences (never from the big players though, go figure). My favourites:
- my Best of the Web hoodie with a date of 4-20. Destined to be my new favourite casual wear.
- My wife wears her Skaffe directory shirt a lot. It's actually my shirt, but given that she does the laundry she seems to be able to control final shirt size and whether it fits me or her.
- the Yahoo martini glasses they gave away at SES NY last year. I don't drink martinis, but my wife makes a killer jello desert in them, they're at my dinner table at least once every couple of weeks. The kids see who can eat down and find the Yahoo! logo first.
- not mine, but I definitely had penis envy at pubcon boston when a friend showed up with a Google bar fridge. Ah well, at least I had a beer from it. (if I owned it, it would definitely be top of the list)

That's the top list from my house; what's your favourite line up conference gear?

Swag

- My BOTW 420 t-shirt is a becoming a fav
- Ask used to give out this 6" bottle of anti-bacterial hand gel, it has a carabiner clip which fits perfectly around the steering wheel tilt lever in my car. Now when Mrs. GW makes me bring out the garbage when we leave the house I can get rid of all those nasty germs.
- CJ, Yahoo and Value Click Media had some decent pens at the last WMW (reminds me I've got to get around to starting that pen blog one day)
-The kids really love the light up bouncy ball things

-I'd like to start seeing some polo shirts instead of the standard t-shirt fare, hey Aaron or Dave how about firing up a cafe press shop with a threadwatch logo?

Google pen

ala Orlando Pubcon.

Got stopped and questioned in airport security for that one. When I said it was a 'PEN!', they still didn't believe me. Luckily, a bystander mentioned something like, "Oh, I've seen those...THOSE are cool!"

Lip Balm

I give most of the T-shirts to the men in my family. The conference goodies that actually earn space on my desk are a few pens, and Kanoodle's lip balm. Winters are dry on the Canadian prairies so it's nice stuff to have handy.

fish

I liked the small, plush fish Google keychain.

I only use conf t-shirts to go running in.

Someone gave me one of those light-up Google crystal keychains, which I thought was really cool! Unfortunately, I dropped it when going into my door one night, and it shattered on the concrete.

At WebmasterWorld conference in New Orleans last year, I got a Golden Palace bobble-head of one of those streakers they paid to paint themselves up with the Golden Palace url and run out at sporting events. I plan to sell the bobble-head on eBay.

I don't drink martinis, but

Yeah, that's exactly what Yahoo had in mind when they made those commemorative martini glasses.

Who's Shoemoney ?

Best T-Shirt

at PubCon Boston was definitely the 'Bobo the Twat' one.

I wonder if Tabke has ordered one.

Laundry?

Hmmm, maybe you could even do that with just the one T-shirt, I dunno :-] (J/K)

Speaking about T-shirts: the only SE-related one I have is the SEOrefugee one (and I got it by mail). At the "conferences" I attend, people don't hand out stuff like that LOL.

three weeks and never do

three weeks and never do laundry once.

If you get a good system down you can go about 2 - 3 months between laundry, in my opinion.

Stop Spam

At InternetMarketingConference.Com in Montreal 2004, Bob Massa aka SearchKing, handed out a box called "Stop Spam" - it was profylatics inside.
