pretty Harsh

There was a lack of leadership and, even more importantly, a serious LACK OF VISION

must be frustrating looking how dreams come true elsewhere,
still I bet outing opinions that are disputably public will piss-off some Yahoo!s.

I am sure Jeremy is welcome

I am sure Jeremy is welcome elsewhere. Matt looks to be extending an arm out.

Posted yesterday about this in the Google Finance thread. It wouldn't take much of a leap to read a more general dissatisfaction into his words.

Taking WMW as a crude baromoter, there do seem to be a higher than average number of 'WTF are Y! doing?' threads at present:

Was Hand Coded into Serps for a Year - Now We're Gone

What ever happened to

What ever happened to rooting for the underdog? I like Y!, if for no reason other than the fact that it's not Google.

The underdog still has to

The underdog still has to want to put up a fight. Yahoo!, well...

the fact that it's not Google

I like Y!, if for no reason other than the fact that it's not Google

A lot to do with timing and branding - Gmail, Gpages, personal gmail, news, rss (and more) - all were
long after Y! parallel services but still managed to create far more buzz and PR.
