Microsoft Click to Call Rumored to Come This Week

BusinessWeek Online states that according to its sources, Microsoft will be rolling out a click to call service this week.

One such service is a click-per-call capability that will let users connect to businesses via Web-based calls by clicking on MSN search links. Sources tell BusinessWeek Online that the capability will be unveiled the week of Mar. 13.

The BusinessWeek article also contains more bold statements from Microsoft, such as this one from David Cole, a senior vice president at the company:

Over the next 3-6 months, we'll ship more innovative technology into the marketplace than during our entire 10-year history.

Microsoft's acquisition of Teleo in September of 2005 was followed by speculation that the firm would use it to introduce pay per call advertising, so if the BusinessWeek rumor is true, it may be a manifestation of that acquisition.

Shouldn't be too hard....

I agree, Microsoft is a good marketer and has the cash to buy things, but a innovator there not. When was the last time you saw a price reduction on there OS's?
