MSN Contextual Ad Program Announced

MSN's "better late than never" strategy blazes onward, as their contextual advertising program has recently been announced. ContentAds is the name of the program, and the launch date is scheduled for some time in 2006. JenSense reports:
While it is extremely likely ContentAds will only be in beta for a soft launch in 2006, similar to AdCenter starting off with a small beta, the fact that MSN is planning their program to launch relatively soon in the contextual advertising timeline is very good news to hear. With YPN taking over two years to launch after the introduction of Google AdSense, it wouldn't have been surprising to see MSN not offer their own contextual program until 2007 or 2008.
Hopefully ContentAds will have something aside from a painfully boring name that helps differentiate it from YPN, Adsense, and the others.

Can I play too?
The last of the big Me Too's players has finally made it official.
Well, this should be interesting to watch as the 3 stooges of search go Woop Woop Woop about their content ad networks.
Do Differently?
It will be interesting to see what MSN will do differently than the other programs.
Pay Per Call?
They purchased Teleo didn't they?
Be nice if they rolled out the release with a solid pay per call model.
I know Yahoo! has something in the works with a PPP company too, but I haven't seen much of it in action. Seems to be slow to take off.
