Anyone know why Google's cache is borken?

Do they usually have characters like RxacNQ7DWv4J in the cache URLs?

Something must be up, but

Something must be up, but yea cache URLs have had strange random looking strings in them for a while. I bet the cache is back up soon.

when did threadwatch stop

when did threadwatch stop linking to threads?

I think I first noticed the broken cache before I went to sleep at about 6am. Later I was looking for the Yahoo! thread here when I saw the broken cache again.

I noticed you posted on it and so did some forums you linked at, but of the forums you linked at were there ANY interesting comments in any of those threads? IMHO no. Why should I tell people to check out a thread if there is no interesting information in it?

95% of WMW members there days belong to the n00b/conspiracy crowd

forums are noise

I have 10 SEO bloggers bookmarked -- they are the signal

Less noise, more signal :-)

WMW is changing

Used to be a lot of interesting threads and now maybe I find about 10 a week

Have to come here to get my fix these days until Aaron boots me to the curb

Google Cache Died?

Funny thing, I just thought that I had used it too much today for their liking - it seems to let me in about 1 in 20.

I thought it was still

I thought it was still broken from the first time Dave broke the story here - back in November. I've checked a few times from our Russian IP but not from the UK/US ones.

Although at the time Aaron put it down to an anti-spammers technique on the part of Google - they obviously kept it off for the Russian federation ;)

Still busted

It was working the other day but still offline.

Looks like someone tripped over the power cord to the cache server and nobody has noticed yet.

If you need the cache

I am just asking for a date.

I am just asking for a date. Didn't mean to suggest anything else.

There was a date or so when Thread Watch stopped linking to threads. I remember every post having a link to a thread or something else at the very top.

Just curious when that happened...

That was like 6 months ago

That was like 6 months ago or something...it really has been a long time since the format changed...well before Nick sold the site.

Thanks Aaron. See you in
