v7n SEO Contest Started, Who's Getting the Bling Bling?
- By: lorenbaker [privmsg] On 15th Jan 2006 In
John Scott and his v7n network has announced that the keywords 'V7ndotcom Elursrebmem' have been chosen for their SEO Contest which is going to send everyone apeshit now that v7n is putting up $4,000 plus an iPod to the first place winner who meets their contest requirements.
Unlike previous contests, it looks like this one is catching on already in the non-SEO forum world, with bloggers and publishers also shooting for the big money prize.
I also hear there are some other people along Boser offering big dough for top rankings with alternative contest requirements. Looks like the results, which are to be announced in May, may be a bit diverse and hopefully, turn SEO upside down.

They are letting people use
They are letting people use old sites? Silly.
Good on Graywolf for his V7Ndotcom Elursrebmem Campaign for St. Jude's Children Center.
I think the link scoreboard
I think the link scoreboard dropped is ok because that is a cool thing to give to charity, but I am offering up a fair warning ahead of time that any future "check out my contest page" comments in this thread will probably get nuked quickly
Wouldn't it be bloody funny
Wouldn't it be bloody funny if Matt does a hand job on the G results..... so that none of them ever show up

Having a Blast Already
Winning isn't important, I don't even care, but some of the stunts I may pull along the way should be amusing at least to me anyway.
I've already been laughing so hard I've still got tears running down my cheeks.
The game is afoot!
Wiki Debate about Contest
Nearly, and its potential deletion is causing a bit of an argument over there :-)
Wiki
Now THAT's funny.
Maybe I'm slipping only abusing Google, the Wiki is a nice touch.
what a disappointment.
"Members Rule" backwards is the key phrase? I was expecting so much more. What a disappointment.
60% of good SEO is not applicable to such a garbage phrase. Seems to prove what I had suspected about the level of SEO practiced over there.
Now that is bloody funny......
463 organic results in Yahoo!

I'm in Japan and I didn't start seeing any results until four hours ago. Some folks in the US were seeing them quite a bit before that.

Just dug out an old Google dance tool and checked a few different data centers. Seems some have the new results. Whenever I search at Google proper I don't get them.
