I believe the success of myspace without their having to buy any advertising speaks volumes as to what it takes to run a successful business or community on the web. As Tom Anderson puts it
you don't just look at your competitors and try to get all the features and functionaly that they have and hope that people will come to your site instead. You need to give the user something better/more...
