WP is definitely on my blog watchlist to read his stuff as he publishes it. Here's a great example why.
Among my favorites, and some sentiments I would certainly echo:
3. Online Marketing is where its at, and that should encompass SEO11.Just because someone can argue well online doesn’t mean they know jack shit.
19. Just because a search engineer is nice, smart, witty and reasonably honest doesn’t mean he isn’t your adversary.
22. Yahoo and MSN have traffic to send too
34. Don’t be afraid to spend money for information, just try and buy it from someone who is honest and not a cult leader.
35. Write often, it doesn’t matter if your a sucky writer most people never take the risk of writing in the first place.
37. SEO is not a replacement for a business plan
48. Put yourself in a position where your customers seek you.
57. SEOBook was great I wish I had read it sooner it would have saved me a year or more of reading forums.
64. A good listener is well rewarded.
65. I hate its promotional “speak” and hyperbole but I actually found “How to win friends and influence others” useful.
69. A bar full of internet marketers is a funny thing to watch.

I now Jack. I met him at a PubCon once. He hadn't registered and never logged onto WMW, but managed to appear at the bar every time there was an otherwise impromptu gathering of attendees.
Smart guy. Knows his stuff. I doubt he reads many of these blogs, though. He's too busy working.

Heh. I suppose they look like wise words, but what practical application do they have? Every time you speak to Matt Cutts don't tell him how to do blackhat SEO :) Right, ok I'll be careful not to give the game away if I ever meet him.
The rest of those points are so vague they are about as useful as a self help book.

yes they are pretty vague but I didn't want to write a small book in one post. They are just highlights of things I learned or observed through out the year.
