Chitika - Do You Get Paid What You See Now?

As you know Chitika have taken a pounding on the web for slashing reported income with a later "audit". WMW thread called "Why your Chitika CPM is dropping, Removal of unsupported clicks on a daily base" reports on a bloggers correspondence with Chitika CEO. Damned WMW doesn't do links, took ages to get the reference , this is the email writer's original report.

Tends to confirm my view that Chikita is just like me, a man and a dog and a computer, with CEO answering all his own emails.

I removed all of the Chitika

I removed all of the Chitika code, put in Adsense instead and saw a increase in clickthroughs and payout.

Sampling Chitika

Maybe I get better AdSense conversions than this guy in the first place, but I just started sampling Chitika lately just to see what it could do after hearing all the raves and it's running a pale second to AdSense so far.

Still experimenting with it but I'm not sure it's right for my audience yet.

Sampling

Sampling is a good idea, I've found that it still works well on some sites where the keywords are targeted well. Also there is no limit on how many times you can display them on the one page so you can saturate your pages as well. In a blog sense I've run them after every post on the main page of one blog and its worked well. Good for low traffic sites with high click value.

I had issues with the relevance

I understand why my CTR sucked with Chitika: the relevance was horrible.
