SEARCH is number 2 activity on the Internet

The Washington Post is reporting on Pew's most recent study of Internet usage, and "search" has climbed to the number 2 spot after email:
Quote:
Of the 94 million American adults who went online on a given autumn day this year, 63 percent used a search engine, compared with 56 percent in June 2004, the Pew Internet and American Life Project said Sunday.
News and search had been close, well behind email. No longer:
Quote:
search had a dramatic jump over the past year to widen the gap over news, used by 46 percent of the Internet's daily population
They report that Media Metrix says users averaged 24 minutes per day on e-mail but less than 4 minutes per day in search.
In this case I recommend the source over the article, if you want to read more.

Maybe using a website is more common activity...
Most of those that used a search engine used a website (that wasn't a search engine), and there would have been a few that didn't use a search engine, so using a website is a more common activity...
Not Porn?
And here I assumed #1 was porn!

>And here I assumed #1 was porn!
I assume it is harder to find free porn so people have to search more?

Just because that is your number one you should not think everyone else is following your lead.... though I admit I am!!!!!

Don't worry, I'm on a one man voyage to put it back on top.
