New console at Google sitemaps
Matt Cutts has this sitemaps addition trailed in his blog. Tells you if Google are having crawl problems with your site, and if so what they are.

For example, you can now see crawl errors, timeouts on pages, robots.txt errors, unreachable urls, etc. Just really useful hard data that tells you if you have crawl problems and what they are. And you do not need a sitemap to use this functionality. You just create an empty file to verify that you own the domain. Check it

Full coverage
I've updated my sitemap tutorial with the details on Google's crawler stats. Formerly kinda problem reports, the sitemap reports provide real statistics now. For example PageRank distribution within a site, probably based on real PageRank, not outdated toolbar pixels. And the top 5 search queries pointing to a site, plus the top 5 keyword phrases based on Google's click tracking on the SERPs. Really nice stuff, kudos to Google's sitemap team!
love it
How good?!
From a SEO point of view this is simply brilliant.
nice work Google two thumbs up!
but it seems for sites I've just added there is no information in "Crawl stats | Page analysis | Index stats "
or is this just my websites
just my websites?
Nope, happens accross the boards. I've seen this on stats pages of established sites too. Sometimes the data (re-)appear when you click around a while. It worked fine 5 hours ago, since an hour or so the "no data available" seems to be hard coded;)
