Trackback

As found on threadwatch, C|Net supports trackback

Well, you got one link ;-)

You're paying attention, and so are we. Thanks for noticing. I'm aware of the potential for abuse, but it's worth showing our readers more of the conversation.

Welcome

..to Threadwatch John :-)

Flippancy aside, i think it's a damn good idea, I love the way trackback works here (as comments) and rarely delete one - usually only when the trackbacking post is talking about so many other posts at once it's just not relevant.

The way we communicate is changing, and for the better I feel.

Check your pm box in 5mins mate.. (under your name under the logo)

Where's my duct tape

So as I understand it trackback doesn't play nicely with blogger. Anyone know of a hack, work around or how to attach with chewing gum and shoe string?

Ask them for it?

Blogger's help presently points at Haloscan as a addon trackback solution. But it's also a comment system, and one comment system is really enough.

There's a "Write Blogger Support" link at the bottom of that Blogger help page under the heading of "Ask Support". You do need to login after you click there. In addition to asking for help on the page you get to after logon, there's a radio button (labeled "feature suggestions"), and textbox where you can offer suggestions.

Maybe if enough people ask for trackback, Google will incorporate the feature.
