Built for Adsense

SEO Training.

There are an awful lot of webmasters out there building sites specifically for Adsense, we know this as fact. There are legit sites, spam sites and shite sites, but they're all being built for the sole purpose of making income with the web's #1 ad program.

Over at DPForums, a thread there talks about Adsense from a very businesslike point of view, dealing with, among other things, multiple accounts and multiple corporate entities.

Quote:
Don’t let one adsense account make too much money. Setup separate corporate entities and get different bank accounts/ein for each. It’s much safer to have 10 corporate entities bringing in 10k each/month then 1 bringing in 100k.

[...]

Pretty much what I do is setup new sites with the parent company then once they are doing > 5k/month in adsense move them to there own incorporation. It will take a few weeks to get setup and get your tax numbers but with the volatility in this market that 5k could be 20k by the time your setup. That is really important because having separate entities keeps 1 website/bank from killing your whole empire. All someone has to do is complain about copyright or whatever or any of the other horror stories we have heard about getting shutoff from adsense and boom your whole business is out. Setup multiple corporate entities and you will have safteynets.

That's a whole different game to how many play i suspect, but i'll bet he's not alone in managing risk like that. It's quite amazing that a fairly simple ad program could generate such business models, and quite facinating to read about. There's plenty more in the thread also.

sorry

That other thread begged for some splaining along these lines, but it is just not wise to lay it all out.

That guy says right out that

Quote:
All figures mentioned are made up.

and I believe it. However, some of the basic ideas are not too far off from reasonable reality.

Some things are best not outlined in public in a competitive market like AdSense/SEO. That said, my look at that thread told me there was alot of exaggeration and attention-seeking going on.

I have no doubt that 800+ sites with tens of thousands of paying subscribers will generate serious cash, including AdSense revenue. Created, run, and managed by one person, through layered subchapter S corps as described? With no partners? Durable goods drop shipped with one retired person handling shipping? Did you see the answers to tax questions?

Nah.

Where? What exact posts or comments?

I have no doubt

I have no doubt that the guy is into serious money, but the post and follow-up is too convenient and seems to me like a lead up to a "follow my steps to make millions" paid program.

Little things like only in business 6 months, doubling AdSense revenues from $1/day through $5k/day after seeing an average of $270 whatever over 60 days...all inside of that 6 months?

Setting up layered S-corps over time, to having "several" with 800 domains, and doing it all himself.

By the way his blog says his mother in law works for him full-time, is his business manager, "is a very smart person" and funded his first deal. His blog also says he joined Digitalpointforums "last fall" and

Quote:
my online business has grown about 12000% percent since becoming a digitalpoint forum member.

Some of the tax questions in that forum are good, and the details of dealing with the tax accounting of several wholly-owned s-corps are non-trivial. I don't have time to pick it apart and that is not my intention. I wish him all the best and continued success, but Nick highlighted that thread for it's "very businesslike point of view" regarding AdSense and multiple acounts.

I think much of the most important business detail is missing, with a misleading emphasis on how successful he is and how simple it was to get there.

> "follow my steps to make

"follow my steps to make millions" paid program.
How? Nobody is selling you anything.

a misleading emphasis on how successful he is and how simple it was to get there.
Believe whatever you like but it is in fact one of the easiest ways to make A LOT of money I've come across in my entire SEO career. But please do as much as you can to promote that its not true - it will just leave more money on the table for the rest of us :)

hmmm...

Not sure why you find my post distasteful, Mikkel. As I said

.

I was just pointing out certain inconsistencies in the post and discussion, which seem to emphasize the ease of making money while avoiding acknowledgement of many of the hassles associated with that "business model".

I wonder, why are you so passionate about defending that discussion?
