Upcoming.org goes to Yahoo!

Story Text:
The latest in a growing list of trendy, feel good aquisitions by Yahoo! is Upcoming.org, the events site that's become so popular among the digirati this last year or so.
Yahoo! Search blog: What's Upcoming at Yahoo! Local

Events are a particularly exciting area of human knowledge -- chock full of rich local, social, and temporal data. People want to find out what's going on near them, know what their friends are seeing and doing, and plan their outings. And they want to do it when they want, wherever they are, on any device, in a way that's relevant to them.

Jeremy is happy of course, and links to a bunch of the Upcoming team's comments on the aquisition.
What interested me in the Y!Blog announcement was this:
"to enable people to find, use, share, and expand all human knowledge."
Is that a new slogan? Another stab at Google arrogance? We've already seen Big Billy G saying that MS wanted to help people organize their own information, when talking about Google's famous slogan. Are Yahoo! about to parade that one about the place?

is the acronym yahoo pushes for find use share expand knowledge, something they've been pushing since April or so of this year. John talked about it back in April here and I followed up with a compare/contrast reality check to missions and actions here.
