It's quite astonishing just how regularly Dell like to give everyone an excuse to bitch about them. Gizmodo report on this Reuters piece that details the fact that Dell, in their infinate wisdom will overcome poor financials by cutting home delivery on low-end systems.
They'll still be making plenty of high-end shit though of course...

And they still dish out AMAZING deals too. This week I decided to upgrade and got the amazing 24" lcd for just $389 USD. Unfortunately the quality of the display has significantely decreased my productivity as I just stare at it and cry in joy. :)
I would probably love Dell
I would probably love Dell if it wasn't for their poor quality and lack of anything even remotely close to service :)
Oh yes, and then they would actually start to make comouters that can run standard commercial programs. Here in Denmark Dell agrees that their Notebooks can't run MS Office, Skype and other wide spread applications without errors you only get on a Dell - but off course, it's Skype and MS's fault, not Dell's LOL

Prices are dropping
The prices are definitely dropping. I'm watching this one, which is one inch smaller than the $1500 24-inch Mac: HP 23" flat panel.
Of course, I worry about something like that here in earthquake country.
