Google Lying About Her Age?

Seems that Google, like many women i know (and quite a few men) is being a little untruthful about her age in public. Threadwatch, along with quite a few others wished Google a happy birthday on Sept. 7th. The date that this page said was GOOG's official birthday.
That page has now mysteriously vanished :) but you can see the see the cached copy here.
Did they forget their own birthday or what?

I think Danny has it spot on.... they sit in an office thinking "hmm.... we need an excuse to announce this - what a pity it was our birthday three weeks ago. I KNOW! we'll change the date. The user experience will be better anyway"
