CNet have done a great interview with Billy G on Google. He's restrained, not quite what we'd imagine ballmer might "fucking say" hehe.. but it's good, and he takes some careful swipes at the honeymooning 800lb toddler upstart.

they have this slogan that they are going to organize the world's information. Our slogan is that we are going to give people tools to let them organize the world's information. It's a slightly different approach, based on the platform-ization of all of our capabilities and not thinking of ourselves as the organizer.

Interesting article. The other big flaw with the server as OS as Google wants to implement it, is that being remotely hosted your data is always at somebody elses mercy. My experience with remotely hosted stuff is that you can't rely on it.

Also interesting: Google bans access to C-Net so Bill Gates shows up in the spotlight and starts getting the attention. Maybe Yahoo and Ask should take note.
