The world is still reeling from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. How is Katrina affecting the online marketing world and how is our industry helping OR hurting the issue? I believe thousands of sites are featuring Katrina donation PSA banners for victim relief. Even though the news we see on TV has slowed down somewhat, the need for relief funds has not. It will take months of assistance for these families to even begin to get some normalcy in their lives. So please keep those banners up! Katrina Survivor Databases United

We just put together a site called katrina.velocityscape.com that searches over a dozen Katrina Databases simultaneously, and we are trying to get the word out. We are trying to do what we can to help, and it turns out that our specialty could be of service. We have received some really empassioned feedback so far:

The lenth of time is interesting

Its why I am not hitting my site users over the head with it right now. I plan on deploying more effective banners latter and highlighting the needs then. For now I just have a simple text link since I think most of the people who can give have done so.
