Hiroshi Mikitani, who founded Rakuten in 1997, bought more than 30 companies to tap shoppers that use his sites to buy airplane and concert tickets as well as clothes and electronics products. LinkShare, which counts Dell Inc. and American Express Co. among its 500 clients, said 2 percent, or $1.4 billion, of the U.S. retail online market used its network last year
