What is this blog about?

It's about link building! Nick gave the chance to write it, and I think it could end up being pretty cool. I'll cover link building in all of its forms, from directory registrations to paid text links to comment spamming (let's try to be objective here, folks).

Who the heck is Andy Hagans?

I'll try to keep this short. I got into SEO a couple years ago, yada yada read a ton about it, got pretty good at, and started my own consultancy. It wasn't very successful--that is, until I got into link building. I got into this area not because it was fun (umm, can you say ultimate tedium?) but because it was an oh-so-necessary component to rank, people hated to do it themselves, and thus I knew there'd be a high demand for expertise.

So I wrote a few articles on the subject, got some more clients, and raised my prices to slightly above minimum wage for monkeys. After a short interlude in China, I graduated from the University of Notre Dame, and had to get a 'real job'. This ended being an awesome (seriously) gig at Text Link Ads.
