Chris Garrett on Web Development

.. or "about me and this blog" :O)

My name, if you haven't already guessed, is Chris Garrett. Nick has kindly given me my own personal blog/soapbox/ranting area and this post will explain who I am and what I will be doing with this opportunity.

Who is this Chris Garrett fellow?

I am a Geek, have been for longer than I can remember. Specifically a Computer Geek since age 9, a Programming Geek from picking up my first "How to program your Vic20" book, since early 90's an Internet Geek and for the last few years an SEM Geek.

That being said, if you have met me in forums, read my blogs or done a search on my name, I am most often associated with programming and web development.

What is this blog about?

Nick has given me the freedom to post with quite a wide scope but this blog will mainly be about news of interest to web developers and issues facing web development. There will probably be a bias towards those topics that have an impact on internet marketing, SEO/SEM and web technology seeing as this is Threadwatch after all. Right now I can't be more specific as I haven't written it yet :O)
