The companies and people that develop affiliate marketing right now as it's in its infancy will be the ones who create significant toll booths on the web as we move into more of a Mobile Commerce scenario in the next 12-24 months.

Adwords food?
Indie programs are the future on a commission per sale basis.

That's perfect! I'm going to be using that one. lol
I'm leaning towards the thought that indies are the future too. For more reasons than one (parasites being a biggy for me). But there are some pretty sucky indies floating around as well.
The aff program can be parasite free, tracking up to par, toll free number sales tracked, etc., etc., etc., but if the site is crap and doesn't convert - it's just as useless as an infested or corrupt program.
That's where adsense ramps up and steps in to save the day.
