The long anticipated move by Google to put high resolution satellite images, via it's Keyhole technology, on Google Maps and Google Local has finally been realized, as announced on the Google Blog.
Chris Sherman of SearchEngineWatch has instructions and some background details on Google's integration of Keyhole and Google's Chris DiBona provides the obligatory Googleplex example.
Nice, planning a robbery just got a whole lot simpler heh...

Man, I must've played with this thing for a good hour yesterday. So fun! But also a bit scary -- I could see my car in the parking lot here at work. A co-worker could see some stuff her husband was working on in the backyard.
And USA Today suggests it'll raise privacy concerns.
