MIT's OpenCourseWare (which is freaking awesome btw) just made a blog post saying that the J. Paul Getty Musem just launched an "Open Content Program".
The program is starting small with the release of digital copies of their public domain artwork images starting off with 4,600 of their high resolution museum images. MIT states "This is a fantastic contribution to the body of openly available educational and cultural resources, and this effort by Getty has the potential to make much more significant impact in years to come." I couldn't agree more. While this might only be educational / artistic material I'm sure several webmasters out there will find it useful.
