BWMT Blogpost Talking Links and Likes

Some cool little nuggets in this Bing article talking about likes , links ,etc.

"Direct, one-way links are best.  You know, the kind where your site impressed someone enough that they blogged about it, or shared it socially.  These are called organic...  These are best as they allow the engines the strongest confidence that the link is trustworthy."

This is interesting, esp, the statement that "...the kind where your site impressed someone enough that they blogged about it, or shared it socially"...under a tight reading this may suggest that bing is taking some stock in social links for ranking ...I know that google is not really doing much with social signals yet (from my experience) ..so this is intersting to hear from bing ...thoughts?

"Instead, they [businesses] operate on the network principle, telling you their network is so large it’s safe.  Not so, as by their very nature, search engines see and scan the entire internet, so seeing a pattern is pretty easy"

Google mentioned the same thing, in their recent reinclusion Q & A post.
