The launch of OurMedia.org, a new grass routes media social enterprise got off to a less than auspicious start today..

Warning: mysql_connect(): Too many connections...

Not very inspiring. It's worth taking a look at presuming they get over their technical difficulties though as it will eventually allow users to:

Host and publish all sorts of media including photos, video, audio and software
Publish a blog, and integrate other social tools

Keep an eye on this one, it could turn into quite a resource...

Seems to be fixed now. Someone's going to be getting a word in their ear over that fumble.

Their design/layout seems derivative of the quasi-incestuous linklove design portals, such as Design Is Kinky and K10K, which is an interesting route to take, perhaps courting a different demographic to these other social networking sites? Or perhaps just coincidence.
