Hmm..
The fact that Google allows people to share their earnings is news, no? I guess they didn't want to boot their old buddy, Fred Wilson, out of the program ;)
Makes me scratch my head
Some people posted such low numbers that make me wonder why they even spend their time with adsense. A few hundred dollars a month is not worth the time to make sites, get them to rank, monitor the reports wait for a check and then post about on wmw.
>few hundred dollars a month
few hundred dollars a month
From parts of the world it is well worth it. Even setting up a money-transferring arrangement from, say, San Francisco to Vietnam to handle it is worth it.
And don't forget the proverbial kid-in-the-basement.
Few hundred dollars per month...
Is also quite nice when you don't have to actually DO anything on a stagnate site.
A hobbyist like myself would LOVE a hundred bucks a month. I'd settle for a tenner hehe.
My "sour grapes" opinion is that my sites are SO good and conclusive that people never feel the NEED to click on any of the ads ;-) ;-)
I understand a few hundred do
I understand a few hundred dollars can be nice and in some cases it can be a large sum. Also if little work is needed why not do it.
I think many people settle for what they think is good enoogh money and do not try to reach for the stars. For example you could start selling text links, add affiliate programs etc. Even if you are just doing adsense as a hobby, spend an extra weekend and double or triple your number of sites and start earning thousands of adsense dollars.
I admit that I didn't do my full potential when I first started. I was satisfied with nice money and it was good enough for me. I regret that decision now.
Hurumph
Seeing people post earnings of hundreds of dollars just makes me jealous. That sort of cash would certainly make me think getting out of the debt mountain was possible :O) I was chuffed when my sites combined broke the $50 a month adsense barrier!
