Thread Title:
Resource Rate SEO Forum Aggregator Launches
Thread Description:

I hear from Brad that SearchGuild's Chris Ridings has launched an SEO forums aggregator complete with FF toolbar, something called threadrank and an adsense sharing revenue scheme.

When i looked, 90% of the threads listed seem to be coming from SearchGuild and Threadwatch - a couple from IHU and HR but none from WMW as far as i could see.

Im a bit surprised to have to learn about it from Brads blog, as Chris has my email, but it looks like lots of fun and im sure he's aware that there's somewhat of an imbalance with the spread of listings.

Certainly one to put on your watchlist though it needs an RSS Feed dammit! heh...

it's in there

SEW and WMW are in there, but the titles don't have the source clearly identified as they do for the others. Check the links and you'll see 'em.

So, if I understand correctly...

...it's using data from people who have the extension to judge if a thread is interesting.

That might explain why the bar doesn't change every time I select another SEOChat Thread - that's just me - adding to the score :)

LOL - I wonder when (and which) forums are going to do to this whatever is done to Alexa to influence the ranking.

it's very beta :)

the more people download the addon (which contributes to thread rankings) and the broader the range of editors the more balanced the view will become. There are some threads from most of the main forums in there (honest) but it won't be truly representative until the people compiling it are.

>>looks like lots of fun

yep :) come and play, Chris invites people on the site.

Gonna plug this...

...at SC. Otherwise the data will be skewed Alexa-style ;-]

I don't understand the graphs

I don't understand the graphs. Is it time on the bottom going right to left? And what is a graph that goes beneath the line mean? How do you have 'negative' interest?

Graphs

>>I don't understand the graphs.

The upright axis is how many views. The horizontile axis is 7 days marked 6 - 0. I think. I'm not sure what the negative number is.

negative interest?

yeah that's for yet another 'google dance' thread ;)

actually I asked that and it's the curve smoothing software. I expect that'll get sorted somehow after Chris finally stops tweaking the real code. Spikey graphs looked nasty.
