All the more reason to build quality content with the "researchee" in mind... show benefits, not features...
Short description for products won't convert as well... if possible compile an easy-to-understand guide on the product category. That has worked wonders for me... it provides potential customers with research data and at the same time INCREASES TRUST! (since they'll see you know this product category inside out)

Not sure -- just saw it and thought I'd blog a little technique that increased my conversion well over 350%. Other than that, the research is pretty much common knowledge anyway :)
