Ok, I've been sitting on this a couple of days while the developer messed around getting it just right: Dougal Evil Toolbar Version 3 BETA
It's not me :) If i'd been able to code that, i'd have put my whois on it, we've already been loud enough about the Google Autolink Toolbar so what harm one more? The Threadwatch member who wrote it runs an SEO business with clients to worry about though.
So, in fear of his rankings, he wants to remain anonymous.

Things to see and do...
- You need to run it in Explorer - just like the real thing!
- Try it on the Google Blog
- Remember to hit "AutoThink" when you've reached the page
- Check out all the RED LINKS
- Then check out all the links at the top right of the page
- They're quite amusing :)
- Pass it on, it's fun, and non-profit :)
Thanks Agent X - very, very funny heh...
- Y! MyWeb

That's a work of art! Watch,
That's a work of art! Watch, it will end up in the main stream news.
Pure genious
and utterly hilarious! Let's hope it helps spread the message. Kudos Agent X.
Where's Zippity?
I guess this is the future face of search: http://members.aol.com/sgaisford/images/intro_pic.jpg
Given that users and toolbar owners now control content, does that mean they are free to spam themselves?
Dark side SEOs now have some real competition in the hidden links department, but who would have thought that's what the user wanted all along, eh? ;)
Thats just classic

ya gotta hot page that 1 nick!
ya gotta hot page that 1 nick!
link it with an explanation for slow media types
brilliant.!
well done that man!
especially impressed by the way he's managed to overlap ads (go to Threadwatch and check the 'recent thread s' )
Graywolf on Google's Autolink
I know you're taking a beating pretty hard right now. First it was just the folks at Threadwatch, WebmasterWorld, SearchGuild and Cre8site who were giving you a hard time. Then the Blogosphere, and guys like Scoble started saying how evil you were be...
So, in fear of his rankings, he wants to remain anonymous.
Says something that doesn't it
We are not playing with Mr Nice Guy here are we?
Attention
Hey, this doenst appear to be getting the attention it deserves - if you have del.icio.us accounts - spam er.. promote it in google, autolink, search etc....
Would Love To See This Built Into Firefox
Now THAT would get some attention.
lol
Know what i'd like to see?
A firefox toolbar that removed adwords, and placed a link to Yahoo and MSN and Jeeves results prominently on the page.
Now that, in all seriousness, would add significant benefit to the user...
All about users or money?
http://www.dougaltoolbar.com/debate/
I suspect there are more users who would rather have a feature to remove ads than a feature to link to Google partners
If this new AutoLink feature is all about users then lets see Google add this RemoveAd feature. But they wont do that because it will hurt their revenue, same way AutoLink will hurt ours, but thats ok we don't count.
