Submitted by joehall on Sun, 2013-01-27 19:29
In this video, search engine starlet, Marissa Mayer, CEO of Yahoo, talks in depth about how personalization is the future of search. So what I am wondering is, what is Yahoo going to personalize? And with who's data?

re: And with who's data?
they've still got HEAPS of usage data, in addition to personal data. in 2012, yahoo properties were the #3, #4, and #6 most-visited pages of the year (mail.yahoo.com, www.yahoo.com and search.yahoo.com, respectively).

Yahoo - first things first -
Yahoo - first things first - get back with your advertising program. In case you hadn't noticed, that's where Google gets 97% of its revenues from. Social don't mean shit until you have a proper advertising network in place. You used to do it, then got lazy and greedy and killed it. You can *rise* again.
