White Label Partners

So gents what do you look for in a white label partner. My list in no particular order is:

  1. Full xml integration
  2. Partner takes all support issues and responds in our name
  3. Partner does not have a b2c division and don't envisage having one
  4. Full telephone orders/support in our name
  5. We legally own all the customer data and can use it how we wish
  6. Partner takes payment and hence takes on all legal contracts with the client
  7. They pay at the end of the month of order/booking made
  8. They reconcile returns etc after customer money has been returned
  9. We have access to their back end systems so to track everything
  10. We own the url's
  11. All documents come out in our name

Just for starters

I want to know well in advance that you are going to change something. Especially if I have and automated system for upgradeing feeds etc.

I want clear documentation, schemas etc

Good online reporting options

A variety of feed options, not just XML, but CSV, sql inserts, sometimes it is easier to churn a feed periodically.

Doug you know that women use the interweb as well dont you? As in Gents

ladies sorry

When the product or service is delivered they do not blatantly try to superimpose their brand -i.e., plaster their url/logo all over and attempt to reroute any repeat transactions directly to their website or service center.

lol - don't want much there then Doug?

>Partner does not have a b2c division and don't envisage having one

is it really realistic to expect them to do all the client facing on your behalf but not also do it on their own behalf?

realistic

Probably not for most of the common niches but I know of one merchant that is so obscure (an OEM electronics manufacturer) that they are not really in the b2c game.

not in b2c

Gurtie

We are talking to one supplier who was in b2c but are now positioning themselves to just be b2b as it dfferentiates themselves for their competitors. Interesting pitch to us and this fact maybe the clinchers.

LOL

ukgimp, you stole my line... ;-) "Doug you know that women use the interweb as well dont you? As in Gents"

Seriously though, I think if I found a supplier who fit every item on DougS's list, I'd fall over.

ladies apologies again
