Google Doodle - 150th Anniversary of "The Tube"

Google's doodle has become much more common since Larry became CEO again and today, for the UK at least, Google is showing a fantastic doodle celebrating the 150th anniversary of the London Tube Network

 

The doodle leads us to Google search for London Underground

I've been always wondering who is behind the Doodles... Does Google really has a whole separate team for Doodles-only?

I came across BBC article on that as well as the video

The decision on what's featured, says Germick, is a "fairly democratic process" and is more about the element of surprise and finding a memory or person that's "a good fit", than celebrating common anniversaries.
