great stuff... but how do you transfer that much data otherwise without killing your whole network? I would be doing sneaknet as well for that.

Hah, it's been long known that FedEx offers pretty much the highest long-distance bandwidth to be found on the planet - and it increases uniformly with magnetic drive technology :-)

Just putting my fileserver in my car and driving it half an hour to work exceeds the bandwidth of a triple-GigE link (about 560MB/s).

I don't get it

You still need to download 120 terabytes from google if you wanted it all so what is being saved here? Apart form the fact google is rolling in money and can afford the bandwidth.
