It appears that DMOZ may be back. Navigate to a category and you can now click on suggest URL and fill out the submission form. Until recently this page was closed off.
Heck, I got a site listed as soon as they let the editors back in - without requesting inclusion. It seems I've stumbled upon the last honest and hard working editor over there.
As soon as I saw DMOZ was accepting new site suggestions (yesterday), I submitted a couple of our sites and most of my client's sites. I wanted to be at the top of the waiting list. Now we'll see how long it takes.
...that got the old submissions deleted? Hmmmm. If I were an editor I would have liked a clean slate...............
Anyway, @ jdevalk -- Joost, I'd REALLY prefer if the editors added my sites without my having to submit. If they won't then I won't bother either. Call me an optimist LOL.
Suggest quickly
The mods at ODP forums are saying submit your site quickly if you want quick inclusion as the waiting list is to zero right now.
Thank You
Not completely :)
Although it's indeed up for submissions again, you can't apply as a new editor yet.
waiting list at 0?

it was down? ;)
it was down? ;)
LOL
I noticed but not actively.
Bad news is that no-one is submitting my sites AND none of the editors is ncluding them spontaneously. Bummer.
Submit yourself
Why won't you? :P
Gosh...I must be one of the lucky ones!
My sites have continued to get their 2 referrals per every 6 months from DMOZ the whole time they were down - you go DMOZ!
LOL
Ehm, who said you wanted a link in DMOZ for the traffic? :P
2 referalls?
2 referrals, and one's a competitor and one's an overzealous editor looking for articles to nominate for deletion :).
Ehm, who said you wanted a
What else are you going to get from them? You aren't one who believes it's actually the key to high rankings do you?
Ehm i don't think there's
Ehm i don't think there's any link that's a key for high rankings. I DO think that it's one of the best links you can get for free.

The only way that's happened is if they've deleted prior submissions and pending edits.
Was it pseudo-accidental button pushing...

Tell me your site's name ;)
Heh, well at least tell me what your site is, i'll see what I can do ;)
That's a low-cost 2
That's a low-cost 2 referrals, wheel. Try getting those two from an annual display ad in the Yellow pages... it'll cost you a mint.
Heh @ jdevalk
That would be cheating and hence less satisfying.
So nah, I can take a hint. No biggie. My guess is that DigitalGhost's MSSA penalty will come next (=ouch)
