PC WORLD : Google is flagging the wrong sites as malware

Google flagging wrong sites as malware seems to actually have been picked up by the mainstream press.

This has been discussed prior on Threadwatch but not a mainstream press outlet.. I have to admit PC world has been taking a more pro-active style of journalism that I have not seen from other outlets... for example their recent Just cancel my %$(#@! account report

Matt responded to the same post on the CIO blog a couple of hours ago. It appears that the folks from Greenbush should have checked their pages before raising a ruckus.

HaHa!

HaHa! That's funny. Call out Cutts and get busted. I'd be much more careful about doing that..

One wonders why Google does not contact the sites concerned appraising them of their status. This would be a far better way of gaining Brownie Points than branding them as suspect in the SERPs.

Just a PR thought.

They do

Google sends emails to contact@ info@ and support@ http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/how-google-handles-hacked-sites/

At least they did for this guy well before he started screaming conspiracy.

Ahhh! Well, I not only stand corrected, but also sit corrected, if not correctly.
