Wesley Crusher Now Saving Social Media
Wil Weaton aka Wesley Crusher from Star Trek the Next Generation announced today he's joining Netscape.com Social Media Site
He's been lurking in the shadows for two months now, but I'm very happy to formally announce that Wil Wheaton has joined the Netscape Navigator team. Here's the post on Netscape, linking to his own in-exile tale of how he joined our team.
If you've had your tricorder off for a while you may not know Wil's actually been blogging for years now and way before it was socially acceptable to admit to doing it. Hopefully Wil can help set those folks on the right path, as they've been screwing with the page layouts, and getting a little "too big for their own britches" with "editorial management" of stories, if you know what I mean.

I guess if he beat the Borg, he could pull Netscape off the bottom of the Internet.

I don't know who is in
I don't know who is in charge of the hiring at Netscape but they sure have a sense of humour. Calcanis then Weaton, latest I hear is that they are bringing in Richard Simmons to head up the video division.

I had the 'liberty' of being hit on by Richard Simmons at Palm Beach International Airport and during a flight from Philly to Florida.
To put it mildly I was was thinking about exiting the airplane and pushing it to fly faster so I could get away from that creep.
