Google UI Testing on Blog Search
I noticed Google testing embeded map in SERPS last week and Andy Boyd noticed them testing blog links in News SERP's yesterday (see screen shot). Yahoo tried something similar a while back and killed it this summer.

From where I stand the real issue is are blogs a subset of websites and suffer a digital stigma due to a history of cat bloggers. I talk with educated business people about blogs frequently and almost always get the "ouch face" when I do. Maybe blogs just need some re-branding to catch on and be taken a little more seriously.

It's strange to me that Yahoo! killed their blog search, and then never told anyone why. At the time, I assumed that they'd bought someone, but it's been months now.
From where I stand the real
Hmm...I'd have thought it was more an issue of bloggers wanting to be regarded as "the new media" on reporting - when all that happens is corporate bias is replaced by playground social politics.
