This choice tidbit made me laugh..

Ironically, this makes Heil one of the few SEOs, and certainly one of the few white hats, to have admitted ever being banned.

Somebody needs to take one and upload it. The photographer has to note on the picture's page that he took the picture and is releasing it with a license compatible with Wikipedia. CC-BY is OK, and good for viral marketing.

This guy is an incompetent SEO that has not been able in seven years (7 years) to rank any site in the top ten for any ?competitive term.

This guy is NOT an SEO, he is ONLY the owner of a lame forum that gives out bogus SEO advice and tries to make a name for himself by 'outing' people that are doing nothing wrong.

The people he 'outs' are just doing things that are going over this persons head, doing technical things he just does not understand... Nothing noteworthy here.

It's just that if you're making an article about SEOs, you just can't get around Doug IMHO.

SEO is not just about optimising your content for keywords (within pointy WH reason of course). It also involves a bit of SEM (=marketing).

He's a SEO beacon for sure. Something for the others to aim for or steer clear of.

I've been known to use the 'extreme' gambit once or twice in the past while building a forum. So now Dougie has a page in WP because of his linkbaiting views. Looks like it worked once again.
