Google API Update Causes Problems, Gets Rolled Back

Okay I discovered this on Tuesday and may have been one of the many screaming about the errors that were happening with my Google accounts.
We had had our Google ad rep team do some bulk uploads on Tuesday morning. The system spat out some gook pulling adgroup numbers and inserting them into the tracking code so that by the time it was set all pages were going to error pages... not to the nice 404s that we have redirected but to ISS problem pages that in essence wasted the day's spend (we did get a prompt refund the next day).

AussieWebmaster on PPC

G'day Mates!
I am glad to have been asked to blog on PPC for ThreadWatch. I have been working in the PPC space virtually from its inception. I will gladly pass along all the news and insights I can garner.
Though organic search seems to get more ink, solid PPC marketing is something anyone working in our industry should have as part of their arsenal.
Hopefully we can cajole some of the reps from numerous PPC engines to share some of their knowledge with us.
I am another longterm computer geek - having started back in the old (funny to think anything prior to 1990 is old) days of BBSs.
I really enjoy working in this industry and look forward to going to work every day.
